FNP Beneficiaries Receive Prime Minister?s Awards

It gives us great pleasure to inform you that the leading scientists who received the Prime Minister?s Awards in 2013 include many of the Foundation?s beneficiaries.

There are two FNP beneficiaries among the six people singled out for outstanding scientific or artistic achievements, including outstanding research achievements:

  • Prof. Tomasz Guzik, PhD hab., a beneficiary of the START 2001 and WELCOME 2009 programmes, recipient of the FNP PRIZE 2010
  • Prof. Michał Tymowski, PhD hab., a beneficiary of the MONOGRAPHS 1998 programme

There are seven FNP beneficiaries among the 11 researchers rewarded for highly valued achievements for which they received their postdoctoral degrees:

  • Bartosz Karaszewski, PhD hab., a beneficiary of the KOLUMB 2007, START 2007, HOMING 2009, and CONFERENCE GRANTS 2010 programmes
  • Mariusz Malinowski, PhD hab., a beneficiary of the START 2001 and 2002, CONFERENCE GRANTS 2002, and KOLUMB 2003 programmes
  • Tomasz Mika, PhD hab., a beneficiary of the START 1999 programme
  • Tomasz Puzyn, PhD hab., a beneficiary of the START 2006 and 2007, HOMING 2008, and FOCUS 2010 programmes
  • Katarzyna Radwańska, PhD hab., a beneficiary of the KOLUMB 2006 and PARENT-BRIDGE 2011 programmes
  • Joanna Rączaszek-Leonardi, PhD hab., a beneficiary of the START 1997 programme
  • Izabela Szczerbal, PhD hab., a beneficiary of the START 2004 and 2005 programme

Awards for outstanding doctoral dissertations went to 26 scientists, including 10 FNP beneficiaries:

  • Marek Cygan, PhD, a beneficiary of the CONFERENCE GRANTS 2010, START 2011 and 2012, and HOMING PLUS 2012 programmes
  • Monika Czapla, PhD, a beneficiary of the START 2011 programme
  • Dominik Jurków, PhD, a beneficiary of the START 2011 programme
  • Michał F. Kamiński, PhD, a beneficiary of the START 2011 programme
  • Radosław Poleski, PhD, a beneficiary of the START 2010 and 2011 programme
  • Magdalena Rajewska, PhD, a beneficiary of the START 2009 programme
  • Małgorzata Rózga, PhD, a beneficiary of the CONFERENCE GRANTS 2010 programme
  • Lech Sznitko, PhD, a beneficiary of the START 2012 programme
  • Magdalena Śniedziewska, PhD, a beneficiary of the MONOGRAPHS 2013 programme
  • Anna Zawadzka-Kazimierczuk, PhD, a beneficiary of the PARENT-BRIDGE 2012 and START 2013 programmes
