The #ForUkraine programme – online information meeting

On Thursday, 24 April 2025, at 11:00 a.m. (CET), an online information meeting will be held on the #ForUkraine programme, implemented by the Foundation for Polish Science. During the event, the programme’s objectives, achievements to date and details of the programme’s recently announced fifth competition will be presented.

The #ForUkraine programme offers annual grants of PLN 268,800 for the implementation of joint research projects by researchers from Poland and Ukraine on issues relevant to both countries related to the development of civil society, democracy, European integration or security.

The meeting will be opened by Dr Sofiia Azovtseva, coordinator of the #ForUkraine programme at the FNP, who will welcome the participants and introduce the topic of the event. Dr Kristina Trykhlib, Assoc. Professor at the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University in Kharkiv and co-coordinator of the project awarded in the third call  of the #ForUkraine programme, will then take the floor. She will present the objectives and progress of the project ‘Rule of law and independent judiciary: Major challenges for Ukraine and Poland in the context of European Union integration’, which focuses on the key challenges related to the rule of law and the independence of the judiciary in the context of European integration. The researcher will also share her experiences of participating in the #ForUkraine programme.

Dr Azovtseva will then present an overview of the four calls of the #ForUkraine programme that have taken place so far, implemented between 2022 and 2024, and will then provide information and rules for submitting applications for the fifth call in the programme.. The event will wrap up with a Q&A session, giving you the chance to ask any specific questions about joining the programme
